Fans of Carlos Alcaraz have been given a fascinating insight into the world no.1's training routine.

The Spaniard claimed his second major title at the age of just 20 in July by beating Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.

Alcaraz will return to the US Open later this month as the defending champion after his victory over Casper Rudd last year.

He is widely regarded as tennis' next big star having already achieved so much in the sport.

Given how young he is, there is certainly room for him to improve even further and potentially dominate men's tennis for years to come.

With the final Grand Slam of the year on the horizon, Alcaraz has been hitting the gym and working on his fitness.

In a TikTok from Tennis TV, he can be seen working his way through a series of exercises.

Weights and the exercise bike take centre stage during his workout, with Alcaraz even scrolling on a phone whilst on the latter.

He also goes through a variety of stretches, and it doesn't even look as if he's broken a sweat.

Alcaraz is currently competing at the Cincinnati Open and is set to face Australian Max Purcell in the quarter-finals on Friday evening.

The Spanish star could very well face Djokovic in the final should both players get that far in the tournament.

Just eight days after the Cincinnati Open is concluded, the US Open in New York City will get underway.

It will present Alcaraz with the chance to showcase his qualities on the court once again as he eyes his third Grand Slam.
