Beginning in 2007, iCarly went on to become one of Nickelodeon’s most popular shows.
From its hilarious comedic elements to the heartwarming bond between best friends, Carly, Sam and Freddie, there’s no wonder why so many people still watch the teen sitcom despite the show ending in 2012.
Since then, the actors have moved on to new projects, but what exactly have our favourite actors been up to since iCarly ended? Read on to find out!
1) Miranda Cosgrove (Carly Shay)
After iCarly ended, Miranda vowed to continue her acting profession. Voicing ‘Margo’ for the second time on the hit movie, Despicable Me 2, it boasted a worldwide box office of $970.8 million.
She also performed voice work on the movie, A Mouse Tale. In 2016, Miranda starred on NBC sitcom, Crowded, but the show was cancelled after its first series.
2) Jennette McCurdy (Sam Puckett)
Playing Carly’s best friend, Jennette continued her role as Sam after iCarly ended on another Nickelodeon sitcom, Sam & Cat, starring Ariana Grande.
In 2014, the show ended and led Jennette to pursue other projects, such as her online show ‘What’s Next For Sarah?’ and was cast as Wiley Day in the Netflix drama, Between.
3) Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson)
Geek technical producer, Fredward Benson, was an immediate fan favourite following the beginning of iCarly. Since then, the actor, Nathan Kress, co-starred in disaster film, Into The Storm, and became a director of a new Nickelodeon sitcom named Henry Danger.
4) Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay)
Since ending his role of being Carly’s big brother, Spencer, Jerry went on to join new teen sitcom, Wendell & Vinnie, but after 20 episodes the show was put to rest. He’s also made appearances on 2 Broke Girls, Sam & Cat and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
5) Noah Munck (Gibby)
After iCarly finished, Noah moved on to become a music producer. He released his own music under the name of NoxiK and at the moment, has a minor acting role in The Goldbergs.
6) Mary Scheer (Marissa Benson)
Playing Freddie’s overprotective mother ‘Marissa Benson’, Mary has stuck to her acting profession since iCarly came to an end. She’s had minor appearances in Sam & Cat, 2 Broke Girls and is currently a recurring character on Disney show, Bunk’d.
