Thirteen years ago Puff Daddy was making hot tracks with the likes of Notorious B.I.G, Ma$e, and every other hip hop star on the planet. He would eventually change his name to P. Diddy and his music got worse. He would even go by Diddy, but that wouldn’t help the music. With a new single “Big Homie” about to drop maybe it’s time to bring back some good karma.
Diddy announced he is returning to his stage name that made him famous over a decade ago in a trailer for his upcoming single. The clip shows a rejuvenated Puff Daddy with Rick Ross and French Montana. [Click this link to see the video]
Puff Daddy is not using his name change as a marketing ploy however. According to him, he is returning to what he’s always been. He said on Twitter: “For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be Puff Daddy!:) Be cool man lol”.
P. Diddy released an album in 2010 entitled “Last Train to Paris” was, to put it politely, a failure. In fact, Diddy hasn’t touched the sales success he had in 1997 with “No Way Out” with any of his latest albums. His 2014 album “MMM” is expected to hit stores later this year. We will see how it does….
